Back in Vegas before heading home
Without a lot of words, here's a collage of Vegas on a sunny day...
Whenever we're in Las Vegas, it's for hiking. And that means we go to REI for outback supplies at the start of the trip. Our favorite one is just outside of Vegas proper, in Henderson, close to the Green Valley Parkway, in Green Valley Ranch, on "Village Walk."
It's a collection of very tasteful shops with loads of parking and a friendly ambiance, including entertainment for kids like the water sprinkler splash pads above, ice cream and lots of benches and sunny nooks.
Also in this village walk area is a Walking Company store. And in that store is Mario. We went in to look around, and have rarely had such great service in such a pleasant and helpful way.
We'd like to say "Thank You Mario!"
If ever you should be at REI and needing to pick up shoes or socks at a good store, this Walking Store is a great place to go, and only a hundred yards away.
Dinner at the TAO Bistro in the Venetian is always excellent, especially with experts to serve us. The soft picture is my fault, but their attention and details are well focussed.
Already this trip is at an end. Hard to believe just how fast two weeks fly by.
Think about taking your own trip and give it a try. There are so many great and inexpensive places to enjoy natural scenery without breaking the bank.
An airplane ticket and a car or SUV is most of the outlay. Three nights in a motel costs less than one night in many hotels so why not?
Have a great trip of your own!
